I like to imagine something similar to this would be the actual cause of the “Mandela Effect.” It’s more fun to think about, and just as plausible as any hypothesis put forth thus far in explaining the causes of the effect.
Fallibility of human memory? No way; that’s boring. Far-reaching and all-encompassing conspiracy involving CERN and the Berenstain Bears? Much more likely.
