Hot off the heels of a recently released video for their new single (above), Oklahoma City’s long-time psyche-darlings The Flaming Lips will bring their fantastically quirky and colorful stage show to The Criterion on Dec. 16.
As such, NonDoc offers readers the opportunity to win two tickets to the show. All you have to do is follow us on Twitter and post a tweet using #WinLipsTix.
NonDoc will then randomly select a winner from those who qualify on Dec. 12. The winner’s pair of tickets will be available at The Criterion’s will-call window the day of the show.
The Flaming Lips: expect the unexpected
Given that fearlessly freaky frontman Wayne Coyne has been known to walk on the crowd in a giant bubble and shower his audiences with confetti, it’s hard to say just what’s in store for attendees at the Dec. 16 show.
It does seem clear, however, that there should be a little bit of something for longtime fans and recent converts alike, as Coyne has been dropping clues as to the contents of the band’s performance-night set list since late last month.
Among them: Christmas songs and new tunes, likely in support of upcoming album, Oczy Mlody, set to drop Jan. 13, 2017, on Warner Bros. Records.
Whether you manage to snag the two free tickets up for grabs or go see The Flaming Lips via some other means, doors for the all ages show are set to open at 7 p.m. with curtains up at 8 p.m.
