OKC food halls
(Mike Allen)

Have you been to one of the new OKC food halls yet? Judging from the crowds, I’m guessing the answer is “yes.” I’ve only been to The Parlor thus far, but I plan to hit up The Collective soon enough… and try everything.

My first experience was kind of a bizarre flashback to the mall food courts of days gone by, just without the arcade nearby. That isn’t a knock on these concepts. In fact, I love that aspect. There’s a social component to food halls that stand-alone restaurants lack, and I think they are a wonderful addition to the OKC scene.

Now, if only my wallet could keep up with my desire….
