Johnson & Johnson
(Mike Allen)

I hadn’t been paying close attention to the Johnson & Johnson opioid trial taking place in Norman until this past week, when it was mentioned or covered by almost every major national news source.

The trial is slated to resume Monday, and interested citizens can watch the proceedings online.

It seems that Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter and his team delivered a strong opening statement, and the company may have been on its heels during the trial’s first week.

The result of this trial will likely set a precedent for the many similar lawsuits out there against Johnson & Johnson. I’m guessing there will be tears for one side or the other in the near future, and if it’s Johnson & Johnson that ends up crying, at least we know they can’t blame it on their famous shampoo.
