The schedule for the grand opening of Scissortail Park was released this past week, and I think it’s safe to say we won’t be seeing anything quite as extreme as I might have hoped.
However, it does appear that it will be a fairly packed few days, culminating with a free concert from Kings of Leon. I’m old and don’t like crowds, so I probably won’t be attending, but you should go! Bring your family, too, while you’re at it. This park was designed to be that kind of place. A place where everyone can go and hang out on a nice afternoon, and I have no doubt it will be a big hit — a true win for this city.
