Win tickets to Troye Sivan at The Criterion in Oklahoma City

200

Calling all tweens, teens and parents thereof: Award-winning teen sensation Troye Sivan will play Oct. 27 at The Criterion in Oklahoma City. NonDoc has two tickets to give away for the South African-born singer’s Sooner State appearance.

Although music was the lad’s first foray into entertainment back in 2006 on Australian TV, Sivan crossed over into acting and then video blogging on YouTube, where his channel boasts 4.3 million subscribers. Sivan, 21, has also appeared onstage, on the small screen and on the silver screen in the high-visibility movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

The heartthrob will be playing a show in OKC as part of his all-ages Suburbia tour, which includes stops in Europe, Canada and Australia/New Zealand in addition to the U.S. The tour supports the 2015 release of his first and only full-length studio album, Blue Neighbourhood. A review from the UK’s The Guardian newspaper gave the debut album five stars, calling its dreamy electropop “soul music for the X Factor generation” before concluding:

Doe-eyed, youthful, talented, the right shades of awkward and cool and caring, and shortly to be ubiquitous. People are going to hate him.

If that’s not enough, Taylor Swift and Adele both claim to be fans.
