Safety First
Poem Second
Go Native. Go Nowhere. Go Vote.
by Derek Geiger
The drums of Babylon are fading
As the drummers bang stronger.
Reverse the Exodus, my people!
We shall not leave and let the raiding
Continue any longer.
Impale them on their own dear Steeple!

Take their words, their fervent blaspheming.
Give a better translation
Of the Book they’ve been misreading.
Listen, now, as I stand here steaming,
Screaming my mind’s gyration,
Ponderance on lies they’ve been feeding.
If you want to beat a bully, then fight!
Ducking your head and running
Only makes the enemy stronger.
Plant feet in Red Earth. Claim your birthright!
Those bastards will come gunning.
We’ll win this war! We’ll lose no longer.
