I get it. Who wants to do more work when you’re about done with your shift? I feel as though the Oklahoma Legislature thinks the same way. Some of the issues surrounding the passage of SQ 788 were probably better addressed this past week than later this year, however, including concerns from proponents of medical marijuana.
Yes, I understand the political play of leaving a lot of unanswered questions out there for debate, thus creating a rockier road for a “Yes” result in June.
That’s unsurprising, really. The cost of feet-dragging seems a little high here, though. It will be interesting to see just how intense the campaigning gets over the next two months.
