In July 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Congress had never disestablished the Muscogee Nation Reservation. Headquartered in Okmulgee, the Muscogee Nation is the fourth largest tribe in the United States. Governed by a chief, a second chief and a 16-member National Council, tribal citizens vote in elections every other year.
